Silicone-Based Shunt Kits

All silicone-based valves are manufactured using polypropylene and silicone elastomer. The use of polypropylene and silicone elastomer is highly important in minimizing the risk of deformation due to adhesion. The valves contain no metal parts, which makes them suitable for MRI and CT scans. All valves are designed to have a reservoir structure that includes a membrane valve mechanism and allows for the collection of CSF (cerebrospinal fluid) samples.

Silicone shunt systems are produced in three pressure ranges: low, medium, and high-pressure ventriculoperitoneal shunt systems, and are available with either standard or antibiotic-impregnated casing options.
